PRESS RELEASE: Distriparts Germany receives TOP 100 award

Distriparts Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of the Simon Hegele Group, convinces in innovation competition regarding spare parts logistics at European top level / Scientific selection procedure passed

Uffenheim, 16 February 2021. The logistics service provider Distriparts Deutschland GmbH, which focuses on spare parts logistics, pre-packaging services as well as on value added services, receives the TOP 100 award 2021. With this distinction, the initiators have been honoring particularly innovative medium-sized companies for over 25 years. Previously, Distriparts had proven its innovative strength in a scientific selection process. Distriparts Germany is therefore already the third company of the Simon Hegele Group to be distinguished in this competition.

On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the innovation competition TOP 100, the innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined the innovative power of Distriparts Deutschland GmbH. The researchers used around 120 test criteria out of the following five categories: innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, processes and organization, outward orientation and success of the innovation. The epistemological interest of the study is to figure out, whether innovations are the result of a planned approach or a product of chance, and if innovation performance can be promoted within the company and thus be repeated (further information on the test criteria can be found at www.top100.de/pruefkriterien). Due to the current situation, the corporate handling of the Covid-19 pandemic was also assessed this year.

“We are very pleased to receive this award, as it shows the great importance of innovative supply chain solutions in the field of spare parts logistics", says Christoph Ludin, Managing Director of Distriparts Deutschland GmbH and of Simon Hegele Gesellschaft für Logistik und Services mbH. “Our services have tremendous depth and are very closely aligned with our clients to meet their needs. We place great emphasis on optimal interaction with the customers’ systems and processes and on continuous development."

Distriparts focuses on maximum digitalization and the use of modern technologies. According to Ludin, particularly innovative features include "AI"-supported warehousing, which analyzes the optimal placement of goods at regular intervals and optimizes routes. Or special software tools with individually configured customer processes that ensure that any information about goods, type of packaging, shipping instructions or quantity specifications is available within seconds. Each occurrence is recorded in a paperless manner throughout all processes, is linked with KPIs and thus provides maximum transparency for efficient control of the supply chain processes to all parties involved.

On 26 November there will be another cause for celebration: Then all award winners of the current TOP 100 year will come together to be congratulated by Ranga Yogeshwar at the 7th German SME Summit in Ludwigsburg. The science journalist has accompanied the innovation competition as a mentor for ten years.
